What kind of cosmetics and cleansers can an acne patient use?

Look for “Noncomedogenic” Cosmetics and toiletries.
These products have been formulated so that they will not cause Acne.
Some Acne Medications cause irritation or pronounced dryness particularly during the early weeks of Therapy, and some Cosmetics and Cleansers can actually worsen this effect.
The choice of Cosmetics and Cleansers should be made with your dermatologist or pharmacist.
Heavy Foundation makeup should be avoided. Most Acne patients should select powder blushes and eye shadow over cream products because they are less irritating and Noncomedogenic.
Camouflaging techniques can be used effectively by applying a green undercover Cosmetic over red Acne lesions to promote color blending.

The most important thing you can do while handling your Acne situation is to keep your skin clean. The whole problem with Acne is that your Oil Pores are getting jammed up and infected. If you can keep the skin healthy and unjammed, the Acne won't happen.
The problem is that Acne sort of self-perpetuates. That is, one bubble forms and fills with pus. When it opens, that pus gets into nearby pores and things get worse and worse. That's why it's so critical that you take care, every single day, to keep your face clear of gunk. That way the current infection can heal and new ones don't begin.
Gentle Cleansing
It's critical you are very gentle with your skin when fighting Acne. I realize you want to Scrub off the Acne. This will only make things worse. Get a very gentle Cleanser, one that you can use twice a day without any irritation. Wash your face in the morning, and in the evening. Be gentle but thorough. You want to make sure there's no Dead Skin or dried up pus available to clog up any of the pores. It's fine if your pores make a ton of oil, as long as the oil can flow out. The moment the oil gets clogged, trouble starts. You need to keep your pores clog free.
